Just so you know, PlanBee is proudly built as a fork of Cashew, an awesome open-source app. While we share the same solid foundation, PlanBee handles your data independently. This means:
- Your data stays completely separate from Cashew
- Our backup system works independently
- Your privacy settings and preferences are PlanBee-specific
Your Data's Home Sweet Home 🏠
All your precious data lives right on your device, like a cozy little digital apartment. We use SQL for the heavy lifting (database stuff) and local storage for settings and preferences. Think of it as your personal productivity vault that even I can't peek into!
Backup Magic ✨
We backup your data using Google Drive (because losing productivity data is about as fun as a Monday morning without coffee). These backups live in YOUR Google Drive account, and guess what? I can't access them! While we try our best to keep everything running smoothly, it's always smart to keep your own backup - you know, just in case the digital gremlins strike.
When Do We Share Data? 📬
Short answer: Almost never! The only time we share anything is when:
- You explicitly send feedback through the app (and we'll tell you exactly what's being shared)
- You reach out to us at [email protected] (please do, I love hearing from users!)
Feedback & Reviews 🌟
When you leave feedback (which we absolutely love, by the way), only what you explicitly write in the feedback form is shared. No sneaky background data collection - we're not that type of app!

- Access your data anytime (it's yours, after all!)
- Delete everything (though it breaks my heart a little)
- Keep your own backups (better safe than sorry)
